I am feeling overwhelmed. Can you help me? Yes! I am here to help! I love working with clients and helping them to create calm out of chaos. There are a variety of services to choose from that provide tips, step-by-step plans, accountability, and encouragement. I love helping people to solve problems and get organized!
Do you work with kids? Yes! I love working with kids! I have taught and tutored students ranging from elementary age through high school. I love teaching kids how to fold, tidy up, and be responsible for their own belongings. Giving kids ownership of their space and treasured possessions is so important in their growth and development. I also have lots of experience working with newborns, babies, and toddlers, and I have had training as a postpartum doula.
Will you make me throw out my favorite things? Of course not! You decide which items to keep or not. I will support you as you move through that process, asking questions to help you to reflect on why you want to keep certain things, what your goal is for your space, and how that space will support your lifestyle. There is no pressure from me about which items you should keep.
Will I need to buy a lot of organizing bins? Probably not! I highly recommend waiting before buying any new tools for organizing. This step comes at the end, not at the beginning. Often, clients find that they already have what they need once we go through the decluttering process. If, at the end, you would like to make some purchases, then you can find items that you really love for your new space.
Can you teach me how to fold? Of course! Marie Kondo's method of folding and storing clothes vertically works really well. You can see everything at once, and the items are less wrinkled. I would be more than happy to work with you one-on-one to show you some folding techniques and find a system that works best for you.
