Laura Sinclair is available to give presentations and workshops.
Workshops can be given both virtually and in-person. The best presentations are given to smaller groups and include audience participation. Past presentations and workshops have included the Houstonian, the Cenacle Retreat Center, the Greater Houston Area YMCA, the Harris County Spring Branch Memorial Library, the Trini Mendenhall Community Center, and local schools and parents' associations. Choose from the following topics:
At Home: Participants will begin by visualizing why they want to get organized and what they would like their home to look like. The presentation will include an overview of Marie Kondo's method of organizing, before and after photos with ideas for organizing around the home, tips for getting started and overcoming overwhelm, and time for personal goal setting.
At Work: The program will cover topics such as creating a tidy workspace, decluttering your desk, organizing papers, managing scheduling and calendars, and reducing stress. Having a tidy space, keeping track of your items and creating useable to do lists can help reduce anxiety and increase productivity.
At School: Looking for ways to manage your schoolwork? This workshop will include ideas for tidying a desk or workspace, keeping track of your homework, turning in assignments on time, organizing your backpack and locker, and creating systems to avoid forgetting things.
With Kids: Discover ideas for managing your child's daily routines and schoolwork. The presentation will include tips such as how to create daily checklists for your kids, organize desks and backpacks, develop routines for double checking that homework is complete, and set up a family paper management system. The goal is to create systems to make life easier and develop responsibility in your child.
