Some people mistakenly believe that Marie Kondo's method is about Minimalism... about living with only the bare essentials... about getting rid of as many items as possible. That's not the case! Her method is about living with things that bring you joy. Yes, you may get rid of many items initially if you were living with many items that did NOT bring you joy, but that's ok. Focus on what you are keeping.
The KonMari Method™ is about deciding how you want to live. It's personal. It's an inner reflection and time of getting to know yourself. Your home can be filled with items or have only a few... it's up to you and what makes you happy.

If you own eye glasses, you know that they can multiply over the years! You may find them in drawers, bags, and boxes as you tidy. It can be hard to part with them, especially because they are expensive and unique. However, consider how many you truly need and which ones are the current correct prescription for you today.
Did you know that you can donate your eye glasses? Don't just throw them out! Prescription glasses, sunglasses, and other gently used glasses can be donated. Both the lenses and the frames are useful to others.
The Lions Club International has donation boxes in local schools, libraries, and community centers. They provide hearing aids and eyeglasses, health services, and other support to the needy, including school-age children. Check them out here: Lions Club International Website
You can also mail gently used glasses to New Eyes for the Needy. They then send them overseas.
